INSPIRE (Special Needs)


INcorporates opportunities for Social, Physical and Inclusive Recreational Experiences for individuals with disabilities. INSPIRE believes that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves choices for health, leisure, recreation, education, advocacy, and wellness to enhance the quality of their lives.
Offerings include camps and specialty classes such as:
- Adaptive Climbing
- Bowling
- Golf
- Gymnastics
- Group and private swimming lessons
- Therapeutic horseback riding
- Track
- Outing & Events
- and More!
For people of all ages with intellectual and physical disabilities, our trained climbing wall instructors will help participants reach new heights with Adaptive Climbing Wall sessions. Climbing can help improve strength, flexibility, and confidence.

Get into the swing of things and have fun. Learn from professionals how to play golf. Tee off at some of Colorado’s finest country clubs and golf courses. Play in Special Olympics regional and state tournaments. Transportation is available for camp to practice, but not to clinics. Location: Evergreen Golf Course.

Swim like a fish and compete against other Special Olympians. Location: Buchanan Park Recreation Center.

Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) provides adaptive sports programs to individuals from all 50 states and 10 countries around the world. Their summer offerings include adaptive activities on local rivers, lakes, bike paths, and our very own adaptive ropes course.

Therapeutic Horseback Riding is offered on Thursdays, 8 AM-4 PM during the 2024 summer season. Improves flexibility, balance, motor learning, and sensory skills.
